CyClo in Munich

The cyclo was my favorite Vietnamese for years. I travel to Vietnam very often and in the Cyclo I felt transported back there most. In the first few years there was a nice happy hour with delicious drinks at affordable prices. The food was exceptionally authentic, especially the starters like wild betel leaves with beef or banh cuon. Everything looks a little different now. Overall, the food has become a bit more insignificant. The whistle is missing. The ambience is still one of the nicest. But most of all I miss the waiter from the first few days, who was very personal and friendly with customers. The service is still good, but it is lacking.

Unbeatable value for money. The curry dishes are highly recommended, the duck is very good meat quality. Friendly staff, cozy terrace and tastefully decorated inside.

It's a shame that the entire concept (maybe due to Corona) has been changed! In the past years it was a medium to high-priced Vietnamese (average price per main course approx. 18-22 euros), so the quality of the dishes, ambience and service was correspondingly high. One of my favorite Vietnamese at the time. For the reopening after Corona but significantly cheaper prices (main course about between 10-13 euros) to apparently serve a different and younger target group. Unfortunately, quality, service and ambience have declined accordingly, especially in the dishes you can see lower quality ingredients and smaller portions. VERY Pity about this once great Vietnamese !!!

The Pho Bo tastes excellent and very authentic: strong broth, tender meat and lots of fresh herbs. Price / performance is fully ok So far only tried to-go (therefore no statements about comfort or service possible).

Picked up food there for the first time. Spring rolls "veggie" & chicken in wok vegetables. The taste & portion size were very good. Seen for the first time, also the spring rolls with a small & lovely "salad bouquet"! Waiting time was rather short - the young staff was appropriately polite & flexible! I'll be back - pictures will follow.

Very nice Vietnamese in the immediate vicinity of the museum area. There for many years and still good. Reserve for security reasons

Very good Vietnamese food, which I love. I was busy when we were in for a late lunch on a Saturday, so the drinks and food took a bit long, but the tastes were worth the wait.

One of the best restaurants in Munich There is not only very delicious freshly prepared food but something else that unfortunately only very rarely in Munich: super friendly courteous service. The team always has a smile on their faces and also fulfills extra wishes without any problems.

The salad is not fresh ... The location is good. But the prices are too high.

The food overall is fine and of good quality. But there are equally good Vietnamese restaurants in the area with half the prices.

Simply delicious! I just want to go there every week, service is more than great, food amazing and super fresh! Really recommend it! You can have a warm dish for winter or a fresh one in the summer! I always forget to take photos, but believe me it is a must in Munich!

Great and fresh food, big portions, friendly service

There is no picture in the menu, the waiter will not explain the dish to you. The taste is OK! The decoration is also warmer!

Mediocre.The meal we had was ok, but for the price of the restaurant i expected something more unique and satisfying. Also prices for water shouldn't be that high (6,50€ for 0,75L!!). The service was nice, but the should overthink the no-card payment.

Good food, good service but simply overpriced

Food tastes really good and I'm sure it is close to authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Quite aromatic and fresh. It is a very very expensive restaurant and the portions are small which means even after spending exorbitant amount of money one would not be full. What is even more surprising is that this place is cash only, no cards are accepted so it is tricky to walk in spontaneously and enjoy a good meal. I cannot advice on the price but I think the restaurant should re-think on their no card policy.

Amazing food

Service was very nice and fast, the prices are a bit raised, portions of the size ok. Unfortunately, I was not blown away by the taste. The ambience is nicely decorated (Asian symbols on the walls etc, darkened). Beers are quite expensive :( (4.9 Eur)

Food is nice but overpriced. Place It is located not far from Karlsplatz like 10 mins. They have an asian decorated dining room and a nice terrace with bamboos. Service The service is so so, the guys are a bit lost and a major turndown is that they do not accept credit cards. So had to go to withdraw money, bad. The service was slow as well. Food They have a large menu with every kind of asian dishes. We had rolls, sweet and Sauer pork and a pak choi prawns soup. Rolls were tasty but the portion was tiny and quite overpriced. I rarely mention prices in my reviews but this place is expensive. The pork was fresh and the sauce yummy The broth of the soup was ok and the prawns scarce. This is an ok place but I will probably not come back.

Love its Pho and curry! I came back twice for its authentic and delicious Vietnamese food plus its homemade lemongrass lime soda! What a nice restaurant that I am going to miss!

Among the lunch menus, I ate chicken and rice and ordered a radler. I don't know if it's only lunch, but an appetizer was available. I chose a roll among rolls and soups. It is a restaurant that you can feel free to go to when you are at the same time, and the Asian staff who work at the same time are so sweet. I paid 30.80 euros for two people and I was very satisfied. Above all, I was very reassuring and very happy to eat before going to the museum! Willing to revisit!! (If you don't like cilantro, it's recommended not to go!)

The best authentic Vietnamese in Munich. Pricey but you pay for what you get and that is good service and fantastic food. It does get busy so worth booking ahead.

Lunch table, good selection, friendly service. A little mild but with a lot of fresh coriander that tastes good. Crunchy vegetables, duck crispy and brilliant chilli to season. House tea is recommended if you like ginger, lemon leaves and lemongrass.

I'm not sure if we got there in a bad moment but the staff seemed upset by our presence and they made us wait forever to get our food. The meal itself wasn't particularly good, my squid was nicely carved but chewy and tasteless. The prices were quite high. Not recommended.

Good food. Dont accept card

A very small restaurant with roughly 30-40 seats. The food tastes okay. It is also beautifully presented, but a bit too expensive for my taste. Not the price itself, but rather price performance. I didn't perceive the service negatively, but neither was it exceptionally positive. You just get the food brought to the table. There are better addresses for Vietnamese cuisine in Munich.

Very nice Asian restaurant!

It is directly across from Pinacotack. The rice noodles are delicious. A lot of thought than the amount jusyeoyo very much Bob. Beer is a ladler draft. I'm fine.

Very good, fresh dishes. Very good service as well. Tables are a touch too close, though.

To me the best Vietnamese Restaurant I have eaten in so far. The food plainly rocks, the location is gigantic (view to the Pinakothek der Moderne, how cool is that!) and the interior of the place is great. You should definitely place a reservation as the place is not big and other people love it too. Pro Tip: try the Vietnamese Espresso on ice with fresh condensed milk.
